Whew! We're tired tonight. It was a long climb up that Arch! Just kidding. For those of you who haven't been, they pack 5 adults into a little tram car about the size of one of those photo booths you clowned around in as a kid and they rachet you up to the top of the Arch where you elbow your way to a tiny window that looks over the river or St. Louis. It was one of those experiences that you're glad you did it, but never again. Did I tell you we had to wait 5 hours after we purchased tickets before we could board the tram?
Oh, and we know we're not in the South anymore; people don't say "thank you" or "you're welcome". Some are just plain rude. Not a very attractive place.
Sorry, but we didn't make it to the "world's largest ketchup bottle" yet. We'll try tomorrow.
Until then.
Carolyn
Matt really want to see the ketchup bottle.

ReplyDeleteWe actually went up that a few years ago. Not real sure that I'll ever get Jeana up there again. Between her being claustrophobic and scared of heights it was truly an experience. Once, we got on the top she stood in the middle of the little hallway, stood on her tiptoes and peeked out the middle like if she got any closer to the window she would fall out.
ReplyDeleteBut it was a neat experience that everyone should do once.
I'll actually be driving to Pittsburgh on Thursday with a friend who is going to Bible College and flying back on Saturday. So I'll get my traveling "itch" scratched for awhile, maybe.
Looking forward to reading of y'alls "adventures"
By the way, that was a great shot of the Arch that you took. Looks like a postcard
